The long-term care certification online program requires 15 credit hours of study and can be completed in as little as three semesters.

Admission Requirements

Admission preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the field. In addition to the general admission requirements, applicants must submit:

  • An online graduate application for admission (no application fee)
  • Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from all colleges/universities attended. All students must have a 3.0 GPA*
  • Admissions statement/essay specifically addressing how the long-term care certification will benefit you and the community you serve (about 250 words)
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from employers, professional supervisors, colleagues, or previous professors
  • A current resume

*Students may be admitted with a 2.7 GPA if certain criteria are met.

Tuition & Fees

Tuition and fees vary based on program of study and whether you are considered a full- or part-time student. Financial aid can be applied to full- or part-time status. Plus, entering the program with previous academic credit can help lower your costs. Nursing students may transfer up to nine graduate credits with grades of B or better into their program at the discretion of the program director. Credits must be earned from an accredited institution in courses required by the program being pursued. Below, you’ll find information about the potential cost of your program.
